Realtree camo is hard to make, this is a different method I tried for my cousin.

First "Belly Cake"

I was super excited, and a little nervous for an order for my first belly cake, complete with pink Realtree camo on the 'shirt'

This is also the first time using fondant to completely cover a cake, it worked out really well- not as scary as I thought
Covered the torso separate from the base cake, let it set, & painted the camo with food-coloring before adding to the base.
I really like how the bow turned out too.

Ta-dah! Pregnant Belly Cake. I am looking forward to having more orders for these!

Camo Cake- Realtree

Received an order for a not-so-girlie girl's birthday. She wanted the Browning symbol, Realtree Camo (not army camouflage), and likes light blue. Challenge Accepted.

The top of the cake looked a little empty, so I added a leaf and a single sugar rose to fill the negative space.
First time using the edible metallic spray from wilton, wanted to add some dimension without too many layers of fondant trees. Even though MMF fondant tastes better than store bought- I try not to get too much of it on a cake, it's not as good as cream cheese icing.

The Browning Symbol

I do like how the wood-grain turned out in the trees.

A Backwoods Princess

Pink and gold boots? Are they edible? Oh yes!
And just look out teeny they are!

The Princess' bustle, rolled roses!

Of course she needs a rifle too!

The full princess dress, in Camo colors with pink and purple accents.

Put the boots next to the dress (if she was wearing them you couldn't see), and done!
Personally delivered to a very excited birthday girl!
