"Mommy to Bee" Baby Shower

This cake was for a "Mommy to Bee" baby shower, however some of the decorations were done with polka dots rather than stripes, so that's what we did for the 'dress'

Added icing rosettes to cover the rest of the cake

Still needed SOME stripes, so added them as the texture on the bodice.

Pink Belly Cake

Yellow cake, cream cheese icing. Homemade fondant used as the "dress" and flowers.

First "Belly Cake"

I was super excited, and a little nervous for an order for my first belly cake, complete with pink Realtree camo on the 'shirt'

This is also the first time using fondant to completely cover a cake, it worked out really well- not as scary as I thought

Covered the torso separate from the base cake, let it set, & painted the camo with food-coloring before adding to the base.

I really like how the bow turned out too.

Ta-dah! Pregnant Belly Cake. I am looking forward to having more orders for these!
