Fall Festival- Cake Walk

Cakes were requested for the Aucilla cake walk fundraiser. This happens at the fall festival, so I was able to make cakes with elements of each. A very fun project.

I loved this one the most, probably because of the pumpkins. Chocolate/Chocolate Chip cake, Cream Cheese icing.

Florida Farm Bureau Cake- Jefferson County

This was a charity cake for a fund-raiser auction for the Florida Farm Bureau.

Cell phone picture, but here are all the decorations almost at completion (hadn't finished the state and cow)

Though the logo has a Florida in orange, I decided to go with gold for the sunshine state.

Corn, Cotton, Livestock, Oranges, Peanuts, & Soybeans

It raised a respectable amount at the auction, and made me feel good to contribute!

Orange/Brown Wedding Shower Cake

The invitation had some poppy-like flowers that were paint splotched... tried to echo that in some of the cake flowers.

The "orange" roses dried a little more red than I had hoped, but still fit in.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

A Special Surprise Cake

This is a birthday cake with a special surprise.

I had never done an orange (colored) cake before, I found the white to be a nice compliment.

White (homemade marshmallow) fondant flowers and piped design to give the sides "flair."

Had an unfortunate piping accident with the exclamation points, covered that up with flowers.

A marshmallow fondant rose to complete the design...

And, surprise!
This is a FL Gators cake for the birthday girl,
blue velvet cake and orange (colored) cream cheese icing.
Yum!
