Girly Farm Cake

A little piggy smash cake for Lilli's first birthday party. She has removable ears and bow, everything else is buttercream (to prevent any choking hazards).

Piggy cake with one of the dozen pig cookies ordered.

These little cuties were fun to make, a whole herd of piglets.

The official cake for the birthday girl, complete with pink barn!

MMF barn, animals, and flowers. Yellow cake, buttercream icing.

A little more detail of the rooster, grass, and flowers.

Happy Birthday Lilli!

Farming Cake

This birthday cake was for a 2 year old that can tell you the name of any piece of farm equipment, he loves it!

Cody was excited about his "John Deere tractor"

He insisted that the cows continue to "eat" his piece of cake after it was cut, so he could lick the icing off them.

Cody was more excited about the "dirt" than the loader. :)
It is the biggest compliment to see a child get excited about a cake I have made, it is so genuine! :)

First Birthday Cake, Farm

A pink, farm, first birthday cake for Ms. Madison. Yellow Cake with cream cheese icing.

A mini-corn field with a little family of chickens enjoying some kernels.

A pond, with lily pads, cattails and a little duck family. (Yes, the girl & baby ducks' heads shouldn't be green, technically...but they are prettier this way...)
A little piggy in his favorite muddy wallow.
I knew if I kept making everything a family there wouldn't be room for them all on the cake, so I just had to make the single animals extra cute... :)

Sweet little moo-cow, I love how he turned out... Obviously too big for the pink barn...but hey, I never said it was to scale.

Overall I was SO happy with this cake, and got a fantastic review from Madison's Mommy. :) Pleased to say also that everything on this cake is 100% edible, even the corn stalks, cattails, and cow's legs- they just contain noodle supports.

Ms. Madison's Smash Cake, tried to keep the fondant to a minimum so she could eat as much of the cake as possible without fear of any "small parts". Hope her Mommy posts pictures of her getting into this one. :)

Farm Birthday Cake

Received a cake order for a "farmer" birthday cake, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, I had a barn mold I had been dying to try out- and I am very pleased with the results.

Nice green cream-cheese icing grass, on a vanilla cake.

Barn was made with Marshmallow Fondant, it stood on its own and was completely edible, including the little weather vane chicken on the roof.

The garden was brown icing piped in rows, with sprinkle "fruit & veggies" and little icing vines.

Added rustic icing "fence" to the sides of the cake, and a little vine on this back one.

Even the barn roof was detailed! I love how it turned out! Hand painted the entire barn: red, black, white, even the gold hinge details.

Also, it was incredibly humid when I stepped outside to take these pictures, I like the natural light best, didn't consider the natural moisture that would blur my camera lens, and make the icing appear wet- I was able to prevent this being an issue at delivery with a good box, the fondant didn't even sag!

Ultimate 2-year-old Boy Birthday Cake

Got a call for a birthday cake for an active 2 year old boy. The perfect cake was designed for him. Can you guess it?

He likes Sesame Street, his favorite character is Elmo. Done. :)

Now guess what he is riding? Green, yellow, big tires....

A John Deere tractor of course!

The birthday boy was excited, and instantly recognized all the parts: "Elmo" "Tractor" "Cake"
Love a happy kid customer!

Silly Jokers

A little back-story on this one, Houston had a few mishaps while operating heavy equipment last week- he got the excavator stuck in a huge mud hole, then the next day when the excavator got out of the hole, one of the tracks popped off! It was a bad couple of days.

So to "cheer" him up, Ben ordered him a cake. haha. He won the "operator of the year" award!

Ben showed it off all day at Waukeenah Fert. until Houston made it there that afternoon. :)
