We opted for taste over color- used real butter in the buttercream, it kept the icing from being completely white.

Rubber Ducky, You're the One!

Request for a 2 tiered cake with a baby clothesline, washtub, and rubber ducky.

Hello Mr. Ducky! All dressed up for the party with your little bow tie and sparkly bubbles.

Had fun making the teeny clothes: little bitty overalls, baby shirts with bottle graphics, shorts.

Personalized the onesies for Baby Colton & all babies need a bib.

One more look at the finished cake. Got word that it was a hit at the shower!

Pardon the pictures without my usual backdrop, it has rained here every day for several weeks and the couple of miles of dirt road that I live down are mud- I stacked this cake at my mother's house before delivery.

Pink Baby Shower Cake & Cookies

Tiered yellow cake with pink buttercream, with mmf dots, bows, and lettering.

This order was for a BIG baby shower, I made 5 dozen cookies and a 3 tier cake.

Little pink onesie cookies, with an "A" for Addison.

Bottom Tier detail. Tiny bows went around the cake, with this sparkly name plate for Ms. Addison.

Middle tier detail. Cake was surrounded with multicolored dots.

Top tier detail. Onesie outline, I later added the baby's monogram, but forgot to snap a picture.

To complete the story- unfortunately this cake was delivered on a day when we were experiencing road work (on our mile long dirt driveway) and rain for several days in a row. All the jiggling and jostling did not allow the bottom tier to survive the mud bog that was necessary to leave my house. I was able to salvage the top 2 tiers without a problem, and the good news is that there was plenty of cake at the party- there were even leftovers! 

*Lesson Learned. Cakes taller than 2 tiers will be assembled on site when at all possible.

Butterfly Birthday Cake *Updated*

The birthday girl requested: pink, purple, butterflies, and flowers.

I knew I wanted the cake to be bright pink, so to add pink flowers I made light pink roses.

Marshmallow fondant butterflies fluttered across the cake

Yellow Cake, Pink & purple cream cheese icing- and one pleased Birthday Girl.

UPDATE!

Jayde's little sister liked her cake so much that she requested one just like it for her birthday!

There were a few different details, but I made sure the butterflies and icing colors were exactly the same.

One change was the purple flowers, did a different version of a "carnation" and added a little sparkle.

Fairy & Butterflies Cake

Ok, so I am not sure what "Dirty" and Fairys/Butterflies have to do with each other. But I am just the cake maker, I don't have to ask questions like that. Ha ha.

The inside is pink! Strawberry Soda cake, with Cream Cheese Icing

Covered the cake with a technique called Cornelli Lace, for "vines." Added a fairy figurine, she is not edible. My attempts at a fairy were unsuccessful, so she was plan B.

There were several sizes and shapes of butterflies on the cake. They were much more sparkly in person.

Added some yellow 'sweet pea' flowers, just as butterfly bait. :)

Pink Dolphin Birthday Cake

This is the inspiration for the cake, the birthday girl's backpack!

And here is the cake! A jumping pink dolphin!

Complete with lots of pink edible glitter (wish it showed better in the pictures, it is way sparkly)

Added the little jeweled heart on the tail, hope the birthday girl enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it! :)
