Truck Driver Cake

Mr. Ray (the birthday boy) is a truck driver, and his best buddy is his co-pilot. A birthday cake was ordered to represent this.
White cake, sunshine-yellow cream cheese icing, made the black/silver border to mimic the highway.

"Brownie" is a Black-Mouth Curr, and Ray's riding buddy.

Pizza & Breadstick Cookies

My brother was out of town at camp all week, and I had this awesome order for a TMNT Cake & Pizza Cookies, so I made him his own "welcome home" cookie pizza & breadsticks while I was at it.

Once all the icing was on they didn't fit back together completely...but you still get the idea.

Added sugar crumbles to the "crust" to make it more realistic.

Super excited about how these went. There is something very funny to me about food that looks like other food.

I "Mustache" You to have a Happy Birthday!

This birthday cake was requested in the shape of a mustache, how fun!!

Chocolate cake, with chocolate cream cheese icing.
I just wish I had gotten a picture of someone "wearing" it.

Who Fell in the Cake?!

So this one time...Ben fell off of the airboat... he wasn't hurt, so it was hilarious. With a little help from my friends, I decided that this moment and many of his other favorite things should be commemorated in his 30th birthday cake!

Just in case it's not obvious, I'll tell you what they all are:

Here is his deer rifle, or crow or coyote...whatever he wants to hunt. The man loves his guns.

He is a farmer, the first thing I remember him planting was corn. Plus...I wasn't sure how to easily do wheat or soybeans. ha ha.

Ben and his buddies go out to Arkansas every once in awhile for duck hunting, and we love Duck Dynasty.

Yeti Coolers boast of being "bear proof," I think a bigger accomplishment is that so far they have proven to be "Ben Proof" too. He also got Waukeenah Fertilizer setup as an official Yeti dealer!

Speaking of Waukeenah Fertilizer, Ben is proud to have been working there for years. Added a bag of their "Top Yield" fertilizer.

Here is Ben making his splash into the river!

Ben doesn't like to be anywhere without his hat, I added the purple bikini top for myself.

PW Farms is Ben and Daniel's farming company, he does have their insignia on his favorite Tervis Tumbler.

This is actually a combo of two stories- the one about falling off the airboat, and once Ben was messing around in a kayak and flipped it but managed to keep his drink out of the water. A proud moment.

This is all we saw from the boat...orange Crocs flailing around. ha ha.
I love you Benjamin, Happy Birthday! :)

Bigfoot is Bored, Cupcakes

What would Bigfoot do all day? Seems like his life would be a little lonely and boring!
Hence the cupcakes: "Bigfoot is Bored" for my little brother's 14th birthday!

Almost feel sorry for the guy, but he sure was fun to make!

I didn't want just trees in the woods, though I guess that would have made it MORE boring, so I added a few water features and some rocks. This bit of the river even has a little fish in it, but Bigfoot is not amused. haha.

Needed a HAPPY BIRTHDAY indicator as well.

And a "hairy" number 14 for the birthday boy's age! Sometimes it is super fun to get to have free reign on what to make!

Pigs in the Mud Cake

The birthday twins requested yellow cake with my Nana's chocolate cream cheese icing for their birthday, well there is only so much decorating you can do with brown icing. haha. Here are their "Pigs in the Mud"

Added 'grass' on the sides of the cake for a little more color, the icing was soft so it ended up a little on the "seaweed" side.

One silly pig with his tush in the air, peeking out of the mud

Pig #2 floating on his back in the mud puddle

There was debate over which pig was which twin, I had to tell them to decide. :)

Silly Jokers

A little back-story on this one, Houston had a few mishaps while operating heavy equipment last week- he got the excavator stuck in a huge mud hole, then the next day when the excavator got out of the hole, one of the tracks popped off! It was a bad couple of days.

So to "cheer" him up, Ben ordered him a cake. haha. He won the "operator of the year" award!

Ben showed it off all day at Waukeenah Fert. until Houston made it there that afternoon. :)

Sandwich Cake- Groom's Cake

Settle in, this one is long. You know why?
Because this is a cake that turned out exactly like I intended it to.
I would like to say this is true of all of my cakes, but it isn't, so I am particularly proud of this one.

The Groom was struggling with a "theme" for his cake. So I suggested that many people do versions of their favorite things, perhaps a favorite food came to mind?

The Groom quickly responded that he loved club sandwiches, and had thought of it for his cake, but dismissed the thought because he didn't want to ask me to make something so hard.

*Check out the crust detail here!*

Obviously I responded to the Groom that I was up for the challenge, and proceeded to ask him details about what exactly he liked on his sandwiches- cheese, lettuce, tomato, turkey, bacon, wheat bread, and a pickle.

To keep from explaining the cake all night, I added a "married club" joke for those that might not be privy to the fact that this represented the Groom's favorite food.

*Brushed on a tiny bit of oil at delivery to give the tomatoes and pickle a wet look*

Chocolate cake, cream cheese icing, and MMF "sandwich fixins"

Saved the best for last, I am in love with this picture, click on it to open it full size in your browser...it will be blown up and hung in my kitchen soon- just a lucky shot.
