Wine Bottle Birthday Cake

Happy Birthday! This cake was ordered by the Birthday Girl's husband, he said he didn't want "traditional" cake for her.

The wine bottle should have been longer or thinner, but if I thinned it out there would be less cake, so I just had to suffer through the proportions being a bit off.

The birthday girl is also the Mama to two sweet little boys, so I added them in place of a price sticker on the bottle, just a little extra personalization. :)

Mexican Wedding Shower Cake

Got a request for a Mexican Wedding Shower cake.

Yellow cake, buttercream icing, MM fondant decorations.

Margaritas are an obvious choice for a mexican cake. :)

When I ran a search for Mexican wedding ideas, I found a lot of references to pretty Mexican lace, as well as pinwheels that symbolize good luck.
Hand painted tiles were made with the pinwheel pattern, for luck!

Another doily, I am excited to work with this technique more soon.

Bud Light Cake

This was a rush order cake, I only knew about it a couple days in advance, but it worked out.

The birthday boy loves Bud Light, and was turning 26 so I changed the can ounces for that.

I forgot to take pictures with my camera, these are a bit fuzzy from my phone, sorry.

Lemon Drop Queen

A birthday cake request for the "Lemon Drop Queen" needed to reflect her reigning status!

Yellow Cake, Cream Cheese Icing, MMF lemons, drops, and shot glass, white chocolate ganache "spill", and some shot-sized Bacardi Limon's.

A shot of the overall product.

Close-up on the Queen's shot glass. :)

Ta-Dah!!

Whiskey Bottle Cake

Around here many of our guys drink Lord Calvert whiskey. It is relatively cheap but still tastes like they want.

My friend ordered her husband a Lord Calvert cake. This is how we delivered it!

One full yellow cake recipe, two batches of cream cheese icing, and a little fondant later.
Ta-dah!

Canadians spell it "whisky," but I didn't want to have to explain myself all night about why it was spelled funny. So I corrected it for my mock label.

Happy 41st Birthday Glenn!

Luckily my friends at the local liquor store were happy to help me out with an appropriate box!
